Fish Slam is BACK for 2026! We had so much fun last year that we decided to do it again. If you’re new here, Fish Slam is our way of letting you kind and enthusiastic Fish Bag fans design your dream fish! Here’s how it works:
Submissions for Fish Bag designs are open now until May 1. Anyone can submit a design, go wild with it! More info about design specs below!
We’ll sort through designs and pick 12 that we feel will work best as bags and arrange them into voting brackets.
Voting will take place on our Instagram each day between May 4 - 12, or until we have One Fish Remaining. The Fish that survives the Slam all the way til the end is crowned the Fish Slam 2026 winner!
We tidy up the design and work with our production team to bring these guys to fruition.
The winning design will be mass-produced and available in our shop, and the designer will receive a free copy of their Fish Bag complete with custom hangtag crediting them as the designer.
Design Info & Specs
You can get pretty wild with your Fish Bag design, the only limitation is the shape of the bag itself— it must remain the same size and silhouette. You can play with:
The color of anything (straps, fabrics, zippers, plastic hardware, etc.)
Fabric types and colors (we usually use corduroy, but you can get creative!)
Liner design
Zipper pull design
Eyeball expression
Custom embroidery or printing
